About James Kris Banister
Kris Banister was the chairman of the golf committee before he passed away on January 4th, 2008, from cancer.
Kris lived a life dedicated to Jesus through his teaching, preaching, and daily life. Kris had a deep love for his 3 children and the game of golf. It has been said that his work with the tournament was a combination his love for Jesus, his children, and the game of golf all in one.
In honor of Kris, his love for children, and his belief in the work of the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes, this tournament has been named in his memory.
