The purpose of the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries is to protect, nurture, and restore children and families through Christ-centered services.

Our Priorities

• Providing homes for children.
• Providing professional counseling.
• Providing educational services and family assistance.
• Providing administration that maximizes resources.

CALLING | We believe God has called us to serve children and families. He will equip us for this ministry. (Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 4:1; Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Peter 2-3; Isaiah 1:17; Micah 6:8)

RELATIONSHIPS | We believe, through a right relationship with God, we will build and maintain healthy relationships with others. We value all human life, the God-ordained institution of marriage, and strong families. We affirm the virtues of faith, hope and love. (Matthew 25:35-36; John 15:12; 1 Corinthians 13:13; Luke 10:27; Galatians 5:14; James 1:27)

PRAYER | We believe, individually and together, we must prayerfully seek God’s direction in all matters. Prayer support for each other is essential. (2 Chronicles 7:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Philippians 4:6; John 15:7)

TRUST | We believe we must trust God, who promises never to leave us. He will provide all of our ministry’s needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus. We will seek to develop trust with our ministry partners and those we serve. (Psalms 28:7; Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippians 4:19)

INTEGRITY | We believe in being honest, just, and fair. Integrity and character are more important than success and rewards. (Psalms 15:21; Proverbs 11:3; Psalms 25:21; James 1:1)

GROWTH | We believe that to be effective, we must improve in body, mind, and spirit. Our individual and corporate growth will result in excellent and innovative services.
